7,486 billion tomans of dividends paid to 3,631,000 shareholders in the first week of Mordad
Aug 1, 2026
Iran's Central Securities Depository said that in the first week of Mordad 1405 (23 to 29 July 2026) a total of 26 issuers paid 7,486.58 billion tomans in current, prior year and pre emptive rights dividends into the accounts of 3,631,026 shareholders through the Sejam comprehensive customer information system.
Of that total, 7,447.592 billion tomans were current year dividends, credited to 3,620,585 shareholders. In addition, four issuers, Qazvin Glass, Foolad Sirjan Iranian, Takht Jamshid Petrochemical Industries and Ceram Ara Industries, paid 38.988 billion tomans of prior year dividends to 10,441 shareholders.
The depository said six issues account for most cases where dividends do not reach shareholders through Sejam: an incorrect IBAN, a joint bank account, a dormant account, a long term deposit account, a blocked account and a foreign currency account, and that shareholders can correct their account details in the same system. Figures on dividend payments through this channel are published weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.

Yield to maturity on Iran's Islamic treasury bills fell 0.22 percentage points to 39.58 percent in the first week of Mordad
Data from the economic and risk analysis department of Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization show that the yield to maturity on Islamic treasury bills fell 0.22 percentage points between the first day of last week and Wednesday 29 July 2026 (7 Mordad 1405), to 39.58 percent. Between Saturday 25 July and Wednesday 29 July 2026 (3 to 7 Mordad), retail trading volume in Islamic treasury bills totalled 13,088,000 notes. The highest daily volume, about 3,423,000 notes, was recorded on 26 July (4 Mordad), and the lowest, about 2,148,000 notes, on 29 July (7 Mordad). The yield on Islamic treasury bills is one of the main gauges of the risk free cost of funding in Iran. A lower yield reduces the cost of raising money through the debt market for both the government and companies, and it also feeds into equity valuations as the risk free rate.

Seven Tehran bourse industry indices hit record highs on Saturday, with radio equipment up 3.51 percent
In trading on Saturday 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405) on the Tehran Stock Exchange, the average return across active industry indices was 0.26 percent and 22 industry indices rose, even as the market's main index fell 20,335 units, or 0.40 percent, to close at 5,054,000 units. The biggest daily gain was in radio equipment, up 3.51 percent to 9,903 units, followed by coal, up 2.99 percent to 115,553 units, and publishing and printing, up 2.93 percent to 4,467,000 units. On the other side, oil extraction fell 2.58 percent, transport fell 2.49 percent and technical and engineering fell 2.35 percent, the three largest daily declines. Seven industry indices ended the day at record highs: agriculture at 1,022,000 units, coal at 115,553 units, metal ore extraction at 726,100 units, publishing and printing at 4,467,000 units, sugar at 454,000 units, tiles and ceramics at 132,000 units and non metallic minerals at 125,213 units. The gap between the fall in the main index and gains across most industries indicates that Saturday's selling pressure was concentrated in a few large caps, particularly refiners and oil extraction.

Tehran's bourse closes Saturday down 0.4 percent at 5,054,000 units as the equal weighted index again outperforms
The Tehran Stock Exchange's main index ended trading on Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), down 20,437 points, or 0.4 percent, at 5,054,000 units. More than 1,300 billion tomans of retail money left the equity market on the day, with another estimate putting the outflow at about 1,400 billion tomans. Trading on the first session of the week was shaped by concern over an escalation of regional military tensions, after a report that a fresh plan to strike Iran was under consideration. Even so, the gap between large and small caps persisted: the equal weighted index outperformed the main index for a fourth consecutive session, a sign that demand is still tilting toward small and mid sized listings. According to the capital market news agency, the indices of 22 industries rose on the same day. The Tehran bourse had returned to the 5 million unit channel in recent sessions, with the equal weighted index setting an all time record. Retail turnover in shares and equity funds passed 26,500 billion tomans on the day.

Haft Tappeh's 95 percent stake sale through the bourse is cancelled and the shares go to Bank Melli and Bank Saderat
Following an order by Iran's minister of economic affairs and finance and a decision of the Privatisation Board, the sale of a 95 percent stake in the Haft Tappeh Agro Industry Company through the stock exchange has been cancelled. The report was published on the evening of Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405). Under the decision, the company's shares have been transferred to Bank Melli Iran and Bank Saderat Iran. The member of parliament for Shush and Karkheh said that workers' rights had not been allowed to be overlooked before the ownership of Haft Tappeh was settled transparently and lawfully. Haft Tappeh is one of Iran's best known privatisation cases. Settling the ownership of the agro industry complex matters both for the capital market and for its workers, because the way state owned enterprises are divested through the bourse is a live question in economic policy.
