Iran's car market stayed subdued on Saturday 1 August as Tara automatic fell 21 million and Atlas G 30 million tomans since the start of the month
Aug 1, 2026
Iran's car market opened trading on Saturday, 1 August 2026, with no sign of a return of effective demand or any notable change in price levels. According to the market survey published by Eghtesad Online, movements among Iran Khodro and Saipa products were limited and reflected occasional adjustments by sellers and the expectations of market participants rather than any pickup in trading activity. Weaker household purchasing power, lower transaction volumes and uncertainty over the path of the exchange rate were cited as the main factors.
Among Iran Khodro products, the Samand Soren Plus with the XU7P engine rose 5 million tomans over the past two days to 1.590 billion tomans. The Peugeot 207 automatic panorama was unchanged from the previous day at 2.714 billion tomans. The Tara automatic V4 has fallen 21 million tomans since the start of Mordad to 2.599 billion tomans, and the Dena Plus automatic slipped 3 million tomans to around 2.750 billion tomans.
Among Saipa products the downturn continued. The Atlas G has fallen 30 million tomans since the start of Mordad to 1.530 billion tomans. The Saina S declined 3 million tomans over the past two days to 1.267 billion tomans, the Shahin automatic fell 1 million tomans to trade at 2.268 billion tomans, and the Quick S was unchanged at 1.201 billion tomans. In the same report's table, three Haima models, the S5 Pro, S7 Pro and 8S, listed as "production halted" at the factory, were priced at 4.130 billion, 4.500 billion and 4.833 billion tomans respectively.

Iran's fleet renewal scheme closes its order registration window on 1 August, with incomplete files to be removed
Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade said applicants to the fleet renewal scheme have only until 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405) to complete their order registration in the Comprehensive Trade System, after which their files will be removed from the renewal platform. Under a circular from the ministry's automotive industries office, applicants who registered only on the fleet renewal platform at nnhk.ir but failed to obtain an active order registration in the Comprehensive Trade System or to finalise the import steps by the deadline will be dropped automatically, and the capacity allocated to them will be cancelled. The decision was taken under clause P of article 59 of the Seventh Development Plan law and is intended to speed up the scheme. Applicants have been advised to confirm that their order registration is active in the Comprehensive Trade System and then enter the chassis details of the imported vehicle on the renewal platform. The fleet renewal scheme is one of the routes for importing cars and replacing worn out vehicles, and its deadlines affect supply and price expectations in the car market.

Peugeot 207 prices fall in Iran's car market, with the hydraulic steering manual version down 9 million tomans
Prices of several Peugeot 207 versions fell in Tehran's car market on Saturday 1 August 2026. The manual panorama version dropped 6 million tomans from the previous day to 2.109 billion tomans, and the new automatic version fell 3 million tomans to 2.527 billion tomans. The largest daily decline among the versions surveyed was in the manual Peugeot 207 with hydraulic steering, which fell 9 million tomans to 1.791 billion tomans. According to the report, a continuing slowdown in transactions and weaker effective demand have reduced sellers' ability to hold previous price levels. Whether the trend continues will depend on conditions in the currency market, supply levels and shifts in buyer expectations in the days ahead.

Iran's fleet renewal headquarters: choosing a scrappage centre in the online system is a condition for car allocation under replacement schemes
Iran's fleet renewal and end of life vehicle scrappage headquarters issued a notice on Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), telling applicants under the replacement schemes who have received the text message instructing them to visit a scrappage centre to log in to the NNHK.ir portal as soon as possible and select their chosen centre. Final allocation of a car depends on the old vehicle being accepted at the selected centre and on legal conditions being met, including confirmation that the vehicle has not previously been used in another scheme. Under the notice, the owner's details must match those of the registrant exactly, and where there is any discrepancy a notarised power of attorney in the registrant's name must be presented when the vehicle is handed in. Applicants must carefully select their active replacement scheme in the "finalised requests" section of the system, since any error in choosing the scheme or the centre means losing the registration entitlement. The headquarters stressed that any delay in registration, centre selection or vehicle hand in will be treated as withdrawal, with no further recourse once the deadline passes. A separate system at ticket.nnhk.ir is available for submitting and reviewing queries.
