According to Bourse News, published Sunday, 18 Mordad 1405 (August 9, 2026), Bank Day returned to profit in fiscal year 1404 with 5.585 trillion tomans in net income, after four consecutive years of losses, a turning point that marks a significant break from the heavy losses of 1402 and 1403, which had exceeded 16 trillion tomans a year. Per the report, the bank's operating cash flow peaked in 1403 and stayed at an acceptable level in 1404, while its statutory reserve deposit jumped to more than 18 trillion tomans.
Bourse News added that Bank Day's capital adequacy ratio has also moved well away from the deeply negative levels of prior years, reaching negative 21 percent; while still below desirable standards, the figure, alongside the return to profitability, is seen as a sign of the bank's effort to rebuild its balance sheet.
