According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the index climbed to about 7,272,000 points in early trading, pulled back to around 7,236,000 points as selling picked up, then rallied again as buyers returned, finishing above its earlier intraday high. Per the report, 89 percent of listed tickers closed higher today and only 11 percent closed lower, while about 5,500 billion tomans of retail money flowed into the stock market.

This marks the index's sixth consecutive daily gain, and according to Sahmino's own data, it has risen more than 2 percent in three of the last four sessions. The rally came as the free market dollar and gold also stayed elevated; the dollar entered the 236,000 toman range today, and the Emami gold coin traded around 239 million tomans.
