Iranian Lawmaker Says Industrial Power Cuts Have Eased After Summer
16 October 2026 | 4 days ago
Hassanali Mohammadi, head of the Iranian parliament's industry, mining, safety and standards caucus, said on Friday, October 16, 2026, that scheduled industrial power cuts had eased from two days a week to one following the summer peak. He said the arrangement would last until colder weather increased gas use, when separate measures would be needed to keep factories supplied.
Mohammadi cited household energy conservation and prioritising electricity deliveries to industrial units as options for the cold season. His statement describes the overall restriction schedule rather than an identical, confirmed timetable for every plant.
