Iran's Central Bank said on Saturday, August 8, 2026 (17 Mordad 1405), according to IBENA, that it has announced the result of the ninth 1405 government Islamic securities auction, held on August 5 (14 Mordad). According to the report, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance had raised the offered volume of the general murabaha bond, ticker Arad 298, to 300,000 billion rials (30 trillion tomans). The next auction of the same securities is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11 (20 Mordad). According to Ecoiran, published the same day, demand at the auction remained weak, with only a small share of the offered volume sold, a trend the outlet said reflects continued weak appetite in the government debt market. At the eighth auction, whose result was announced on August 1, only about 18 percent of roughly 48,000 billion tomans offered was sold, with no bank taking part.
