Taban Petrochemical's IPO, With Over 4.6 Billion Shares on Offer, Set to Be Tehran Bourse's Largest Ever

According to a Tehran Stock Exchange notice published Sunday, 8 Shahrivar 1405 (August 30, 2026) and carried by Boursenews and Tabnak, shares of Taban Petrochemical Group Farda, ticker "Taban," will hold their initial public offering on the exchange's second market main board on Monday, 9 Shahrivar 1405 (August 31, 2026). The offering covers 4,687,500,000 shares, or 1.5625 percent of the company, via an order registration method aimed at price discovery, a figure Tabnak reported makes it the largest IPO by share count in Tehran Stock Exchange history.

Per the notice, the maximum order per individual or corporate trading code is 13,280 shares, the base price is 12,075 rials, and the order price range runs from 11,351 to 12,800 rials. Taban Farda is the 637th company listed on Tehran's bourse and is classified under basic chemical production. Khebregan Sahm brokerage is managing the offering, Ahdaf Investment Company is the underwriter, and Lotus Parsian Investment Bank is the buyer of last resort, with its purchase commitment capped at 50 percent of the shares offered. Buyers will also receive contingent put option securities under the ticker "hTaban66," with a strike price of 17,920 rials maturing on 7 Shahrivar 1406.
