Tehran's provincial governor said on Saturday, August 8, 2026 that no manufacturing unit in Tehran province should face power cuts without advance notice, emphasizing the need to support the production sector and manage energy restrictions in a targeted way, Donya-e-Eqtesad reported. He said power distribution companies are required to announce restriction schedules to industrial units precisely and in advance. The remarks came alongside earlier comments from the deputy energy minister, who had said the country's electricity supply shortfall had fallen 30 percent from a year earlier and that industrial restrictions would end within coming weeks.
