US Stocks Near Record Highs as 10-Year Treasury Yield Hits Highest Level Since 2002

The Nasdaq Composite hit an all-time high on Monday, 13 Mehr (October 5, 2026), and US stock futures extended the advance into Tuesday morning, 14 Mehr (October 6), with S&P 500 futures up about 0.5 percent and Nasdaq-100 futures up about 0.6 percent. According to CNBC, the 10-year Treasury yield reached 5.256 percent and the 30-year yield 5.625 percent on Monday, levels not seen since 2002. Meanwhile, Brent crude fell about 2 percent to trade around $98 a barrel, easing some inflation concerns. Per EcoIran, the past month's equity gains have been concentrated in technology and AI-related names such as Nvidia, Apple, Google, Microsoft and Meta (up more than 21 percent), while the broader year-to-date rally has also included energy and chipmaking stocks.
