Four US tech giants report within 48 hours this week: Microsoft and Meta on Wednesday, Apple and Amazon on Thursday

Jul 27, 2026

The week ending 31 July 2026 is the heaviest of Wall Street's earnings season: Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Apple and Amazon all report quarterly results within a 48-hour window.

Microsoft and Meta report after the close on Wednesday, 29 July, and Apple and Amazon after the close on Thursday, 30 July. Analysts project earnings per share of $4.21 for Microsoft's fiscal fourth quarter.

Investor attention is on capital expenditure and margin resilience across the technology sector, particularly Microsoft's and Amazon's spending on AI infrastructure and whether that investment is translating into revenue. Microsoft shares are down roughly 18 percent year to date, while Apple, which has opted to partner with model developers rather than make heavy AI outlays of its own, has risen 15 percent in July. The Federal Reserve's interest rate decision also lands on Wednesday.

According to the Iran capital market news agency SENA, turnover in exchange traded investment funds reached 271,165 billion tomans, or about 271 trillion tomans, in the working week ending 7 Mordad 1405 (29 July 2026). The figure is 2 percent higher than turnover recorded two weeks earlier, marking continued strength in fund trading on Iran's capital market. Exchange traded funds in Iran include fixed income, equity, mixed and commodity funds covering gold, silver and saffron. In recent years they have become one of the main channels through which retail money enters the country's capital market. The large share of fixed income funds in this market's turnover reflects a preference among some investors for lower risk instruments.

Turnover in Iran's exchange traded funds reaches 45.5 trillion tomans on Sunday 2 August

A report by the research department of Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization shows that turnover in exchange traded funds on Iran's capital market reached 45.5 trillion tomans on Sunday 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405). The report was published by the Iran capital market news agency SENA. According to the report, about 30.2 trillion tomans of that total came from fixed income funds, about 9.7 trillion tomans from commodity funds and about 6 trillion tomans from equity and mixed funds. Retail money entering the fund market on the same day was around 200 billion tomans. The large share taken by fixed income funds indicates that most liquidity circulating through Iran's fund market still flows into low risk instruments, while commodity funds based on gold and silver were the second most heavily traded group.
