At dawn on Monday, 22 Tir 1405 (13 July 2026), the usual pattern flipped: Brent crude jumped nearly 4% to about $79 as Strait of Hormuz tensions escalated, while spot gold fell for a second session to around $4,055. At home, the Tehran Stock Exchange closed Sunday down 2.51% (5,055,648), its fifth losing session, while the free-market dollar held near 179,600 tomans and the Emami coin around 178 million tomans. The same risk lifting oil is grinding down the bourse.
