How Sahmino works
Updated Oct 30, 2026
Sahmino gathers, checks and dates every figure it publishes. This page says how each part is made.
Prices
Prices are read at every session from the market that sets them: Tehran Stock Exchange and Farabourse shares from the exchange's trading system, commodity trades from the Iran Mercantile Exchange, and gold, coins, currencies, steel, cement, cars and housing from their own markets. Every price shows the time it was last updated, and a late figure is marked as late. A price more than a hundredfold from the last one recorded is held back until it repeats and confirms itself.
The events calendar
Shareholder meetings, dividends, capital increases and IPOs are read from Codal letters and exchange announcements. Ownership changes are computed by Sahmino itself from the Tehran exchange's daily shareholder register: who bought or sold how much, and what their stake became. Each event's outcome is recorded on its own page once it has happened.
News
The newsroom publishes only verified stories. Any claim that does not come from an official source is checked against at least two independent sources, an official announcement stands on its own, and every figure in a story is dated. A story that still has a single source waits until it is confirmed. The report a story was learned from is linked under it as its "Reference", together with an archived copy wherever one is kept.
Reports, lessons and videos
The research desk writes from Sahmino's own data: prices, Codal financial statements, shareholder registers and calendar events. Every source a piece drew on is listed under it as a dated entry in "References".
Why every reference is linked
A reader should be able to follow any figure back to where it came from. Linking the reference means every claim Sahmino makes can be checked, and if we got something wrong, it shows. How to report an error is on corrections.
