By 10:59 a.m. on Sunday, 11 Mordad 1405 (2 August 2026), the Tehran Stock Exchange headline index (TEDPIX) was up 96,411 points, or 1.91 percent, at 5,151,197, overtaking the equal-weight index (1.42 percent) after four straight sessions of lagging it. At the same time traded 18-karat gold fell 1.47 percent and gold funds slipped about half a percent, yet the free-market dollar set a fresh record at 194,100 tomans.
