Outcome
The Central Bank of Iran held its 25th open market operation auction on 21 September 2026 (30 Shahrivar 1405), with 16 banks taking part. Of 4,174.9 trillion rials in repo bids, it accepted 700 trillion rials at a seven-day maturity and a minimum rate of 23 percent (an acceptance ratio of 16.76 percent). The central bank also bought 20.6 trillion rials of securities outright, bringing the auction's total injection to 720.6 trillion rials.
