Iran's Central Bank issued the country's first Standard Parallel Forward Coin Notes (ticker "Askeh 2") on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, via the Iran Mercantile Exchange: 100,000 units backed by full Emami gold coins, three month maturity, with physical delivery or a guaranteed 7 percent return at maturity, or an earlier sale at the day's coin price. As of that afternoon, the central bank had registered its sell order at 235.7 million tomans per coin.
