Central Insurance of Iran issued a circular authorising insurers to provide war risk cover to legal entities and businesses; Mehr news agency reported it on Sunday 2 August 2026. Insurers may write the cover for units whose capital is below 2,000 billion rials, with the insurer's liability capped at 50 percent of the insured sum. The premium rate is set at no less than 8.5 per thousand of the insured sum, with a 20 percent deductible on each claim.
