Under provincial circulars issued up to the evening of 4 August 2026, offices, banks and public bodies in Ilam, Qom, Kermanshah, Hormozgan, Bushehr and Kordestan are closed on Wednesday 5 August 2026, while in Sistan and Baluchestan the closure covers Zabol, Zahak, Hamoun, Hirmand and Nimroz counties, and Khuzestan staff work remotely. The reasons given are electricity imbalance management, heat, an orange weather warning and Arbaeen traffic, with hospitals, relief and police exempt.
