The UK Maritime Trade Operations body (UKMTO) said on Monday, October 5, 2026 (13 Mehr 1405), that four tankers were targeted in the Strait of Hormuz over the preceding 48 hours. One, hit on Friday, October 2, was abandoned by its crew; another, targeted Saturday, October 3, was towed toward Fujairah. Two more vessels were targeted in the same window near Oman and Iran.
