Over the first three years of the Seventh Development Plan, 5,772 villages have been supplied against a five-year target of 10,000. Amini said 1,017 more villages are due by year-end. Of this year's 983 villages, 503 came through contractors and the companies' own current funds, 374 with the Imam Hassan Mojtaba headquarters and 106 with charitable donors. In the latest round, supply to 157 villages (117 in Lorestan, 40 in Zanjan) worth 879.6 billion tomans began. He added that only about 4 trillion tomans of the 38.5 trillion tomans budgeted for rural water supply in 1405 has been allocated so far.
