Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Investment Company, through its subsidiary Mamoura Diversified Global, has raised its stake in real estate developer Aldar Properties from 27.01 percent to 28.03 percent of the company's issued share capital. Aldar said in a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (21 Mordad 1405), reported by The National, that the increase resulted from a series of independent market share purchases by Mubadala between May 8 and August 11, and is unrelated to any Aldar corporate action; the 1 percentage point increase is estimated at about 78.6 million shares. Aldar reported last month that its second quarter net profit rose 10 percent year on year to $580 million, despite uncertainty stemming from the Iran war. The company's development backlog stood at Dh71.6 billion at the end of June, of which Dh59.9 billion is concentrated in the UAE. Mubadala and Aldar have previously collaborated on several joint projects, including a Dh10 billion retail platform.
