Audit Court Makes Final the One-Year Suspension of Persian Gulf Holding's Current and Former CEOs

Tasnim and Fars reported on Saturday, September 26, 2026 that the appeals branch of Iran's Supreme Audit Court rejected retrial requests by Abdolali Ali-Asgari and Mohammad Shariatmadari, the former and current CEOs of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries holding, making their sentence of "one year of temporary suspension from government service" final and enforceable.
The final ruling was issued on 19 Mordad 1405 (August 10, 2026) in case number 1403-497. In the original ruling by the court's second advisory panel, the two executives were found guilty of administrative violations. Shares of the holding, which trades as Fars on the Tehran Stock Exchange, closed the same day down 2.88 percent at 11,790 rials.
