Bitcoin Sentiment Index Tops 89 for the First Time Since March 2024

The bitcoin market sentiment index tracked by CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost climbed above 89 in recent days, according to Arzdigital (as of Saturday, September 12, 2026, 21 Shahrivar 1405), for the first time since March 2024, entering "extreme greed" territory before easing slightly from its peak. Over the same period, the traditional Fear and Greed Index from Alternative.me stood at a calmer 63, in "greed" territory.
Per the report, alongside this extreme optimism, US spot bitcoin ETFs posted a net outflow of 462.7 million dollars over recent trading days, with ARK 21Shares accounting for the largest share. Darkfost warned that such sentiment extremes typically form near market turning points and should be treated as a risk management warning rather than necessarily the start of a downtrend.
