Brent crude rose to $76.34 a barrel on Friday, July 10, 2026 (19 Tir 1405), up roughly 6 percent for the week, while WTI traded at $72.15, up about 5 percent weekly, Reuters reported via Yahoo Finance. Renewed fighting between the United States and Iran in recent days has curtailed shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which carries about 20 percent of the world's daily oil and gas supply, delaying the strait's full reopening. The report noted that technical talks between the two sides are continuing.
