Brent Gives Back Part of Its Jump After the Houthi Claim on Aramco in Friday Trading

Oil prices fell in trading on Friday morning, September 25, 2026 (3 Mehr 1405). According to Mehr News Agency, citing Reuters, Brent traded at $105.236 a barrel, down 1.28%, and US crude at $92.729, down 1.99%, which Mehr attributed to reports of political optimism. Donya-e-Eqtesad also put Brent at $105.73 that morning, and the latest rate on Sahmino's price page as of 11:29 Tehran time that day was $106.19, down 1.17%.

According to Al Jazeera, November Brent futures rose more than 3% on Thursday, September 24, after Yemen's Houthis claimed missile and drone attacks on Aramco facilities in Yanbu, topping $108 during the day and settling above $106.50. Saudi authorities have not confirmed any damage or casualties. Mehr reported that despite Friday's decline Brent remains on track for a weekly gain of more than 2%, while US crude is heading for a weekly loss of about 2%.
