Iran's Ministry of Agriculture Jihad deputy for commerce development announced a list of 14 tariff codes for frozen red meat, including bone in and boneless veal cuts, frozen lamb carcasses and goat meat, that are exempt from the 1.2 percent (12 in 1000) customs valuation fee, according to a report by ILNA carried by Khabar Online on Sunday, 8 Shahrivar 1405 (30 August 2026). The move follows a letter from Mohammad Reza Talaei, the ministry's deputy for commerce development, to Iran's Trade Development Organization and Customs Administration, continuing earlier correspondence on tariff codes for basic goods eligible for the exemption.
