Tehran's currency market saw sharp swings on Sunday, 19 July 2026 (28 Tir 1405). According to a data provider, the free-market US dollar rose early in the day's trading to 195,000 tomans, close to the market's historic highs.
Based on the live data Sahmino tracks, the dollar returned to around 193,000 tomans by late Sunday afternoon, down about 0.8 percent from the previous day. Another provider's exchange site likewise reported the dollar remittance rate in the same range, just below 193,000 tomans.
