Goldman Sachs Raises Coinbase Price Target to $196, Turns Bullish on Robinhood
26 August 2026 · last month
Investment bank Goldman Sachs backed shares of crypto exchange Coinbase and trading platform Robinhood in its latest report, carried by Arzdigital on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (4 Shahrivar 1405), despite a recent decline in crypto trading volumes. Analyst James Yaro raised Goldman's price target on Coinbase shares from $173 to $196. The bank's report said crypto trading volumes fell 30 percent in July and 21 percent in August, but a 21 percent recovery in total crypto market value to $2.8 trillion has revived hopes the slump is ending.
Goldman cited Coinbase's and Robinhood's expansion into newer businesses such as prediction markets, asset tokenization and perpetual futures as reasons for its optimism; Coinbase's prediction market unit, for example, reached a $100 million annualized revenue run rate just two months after launch.
