Government spokesperson Mohajerani said on Tuesday 13 October 2026 (21 Mehr 1405) that more than 160 thousand billion tomans (160 trillion tomans) in marriage loans have been paid since the start of the current year. The Iranian year 1405 began in Farvardin, so the figure covers a period of nearly seven months.

EcoIran reported the same day, citing the Central Bank, that about 800 thousand applicants for marriage and childbearing loans were waiting for facilities at the end of Shahrivar, and that the Central Bank says the pace of payments has risen 2 to 3 times. The report carrying the spokesperson's remarks gives no breakdown by number of borrowers, loan ceiling or bank share, so the 160 trillion toman figure should be read as an official claim without itemised detail.
