Hashemi-Nejad Gas Refinery Posts a Ten-Year Processing Record, Up 18 Percent in Six Months

Shahid Hashemi-Nejad Gas Refining Company recorded a ten-year high in gas intake and processing in the first six months of 1405. According to CEO Yahya Feizi, the volume of gas received and processed over the period reached 7.095 billion cubic metres, compared with 6.017 billion cubic metres in the same period last year. That is an increase of more than one billion cubic metres, or 18 percent, and the highest first-half intake for the complex in 10 years.
Feizi credited the result to shorter major overhauls, with operating-unit repairs completed in only 25 days and a preventive full-shutdown overhaul in just 4 days, along with process optimisation and stronger technical oversight. He said the measures were taken to be fully ready to supply the country's gas steadily through the cold months of the year. The news comes as the First Vice President has said Iran faces a winter gas shortfall of 100 to 250 million cubic metres.
