Safar Sadeghipour, deputy governor of Hormozgan province for development affairs, said on Tuesday 28 July 2026 (6 Mordad 1405) that last week's attack caused 6,000 billion tomans of damage to infrastructure in the province. He said nine bridges in the Bandar Khamir, Bandar Abbas and Rudan districts and two tunnels on the Bandar Abbas to Haji Abad route were damaged.
He added that reconstruction of the bridges and the tunnel on the Bandar Abbas to Sirjan transit corridor of the north to south route will be completed within three months, and repairs to rail infrastructure within two months, with traffic currently moving via safe routes and bypasses.
Sadeghipour said that despite damage to commercial and fishing ports in Bandar Lengeh, Sirik and Jask, operations continue at Shahid Rajaee port, the country's largest commercial port.
