Iran's equity market capitalisation passes 18,000 thousand billion tomans again, reaching 18,302

The combined market capitalisation of Iran's equity markets, covering the Tehran Stock Exchange, the over the counter Iran Fara Bourse and the base market, again passed the 18,000 thousand billion toman mark in trading on Wednesday, 5 August 2026 (14 Mordad 1405), reaching about 18,302 thousand billion tomans at mid session.

According to Bourse News, in morning trading that day the market value of the Tehran Stock Exchange stood at 15,488 thousand billion tomans and the value of the Iran Fara Bourse together with the base market stood at 2,814 thousand billion tomans. The threshold was crossed within the first 10 minutes of Wednesday's session.

The figure came on the same day that the Tehran Stock Exchange's main index set a fresh record, ending Wednesday's session at 5,407,000 points, its highest level ever.
