Iran's fleet renewal authority says car allocation depends on selecting a scrapping centre in the online system

2 August 2026 · 2 months ago

Iran's authority for fleet renewal and the scrapping of worn out vehicles said in a notice published by Mehr News Agency on Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), that applicants to the replacement schemes who have received the "visit a scrapping centre" text message must promptly log in to the NNHK.ir portal and designate the scrapping centre of their choice.

According to the notice, final allocation of a vehicle depends on the worn out car being accepted at the selected centre and on legal checks, including confirmation that the vehicle has not previously been used in another scheme. Matching details between the owner and the registrant are described as a requirement at this stage, and where there is a discrepancy a notarised power of attorney in the registrant's name must be presented when the car is accepted.

The authority added that applicants must select their active replacement scheme, such as the 1405 scheme, in the "finalised requests" section of the system, because an error in choosing the scheme or the centre means the loss of the registration entitlement. Under the notice, delay at the registration, centre selection or vehicle acceptance stages is treated as withdrawal, with no recourse after the deadline. The ticket.nnhk.ir system was announced as available for applicants to log and follow up problems.
