Iran's foreign exchange market saw a back and forth week in the first week of Mordad 1405, the week ending Thursday 30 July 2026. Trading opened with a negative gap as a pause in hostilities between Iran and the United States, along with signals that diplomacy would continue, moderated inflation expectations. Later in the week, as fresh news emerged on regional security developments, part of the early drop was recovered.

Across the week as a whole, the free market dollar returned 1.42%, while the euro gained 2.26%, the Herat forward dollar 2.22% and the UAE dirham 1.21%. The dollar's weekly high of 193,700 tomans was recorded on Wednesday 29 July, and its weekly low of 187,040 tomans on Sunday 26 July.

The euro hit its weekly high of 221,700 tomans on Thursday 30 July and its low of 212,770 tomans on Sunday. The Herat forward dollar peaked at 193,000 tomans on Thursday and bottomed at 183,500 tomans on Sunday, while the UAE dirham ranged between 51,080 tomans on Sunday and 53,000 tomans on Wednesday.
