Carmaker Stellantis, owner of brands including Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Chrysler and Peugeot, said on Thursday, 30 July 2026, that it made a net profit of 293 million euros in the second quarter of 2026, against a loss of 1.87 billion euros a year earlier. The main driver was rising demand in North America.
Adjusted operating income more than tripled in the April to June period, rising to 773 million euros from 213 million euros a year earlier, but it fell short of the 914 million euro consensus estimate from a Reuters analyst survey. Milan-listed shares fell more than 8 percent before paring losses, while the US-listed shares were down roughly 3 percent.
Chief executive Antonio Filosa said US tariff costs are expected to add at least 1 billion euros to the company's costs this year, which is why production of some Jeep Cherokee trims is being deliberately limited. Industrial free cash flow stood at 1 billion euros at the end of June, while the adjusted operating income margin remained at 1.8 percent.
