JPMorgan Chase, the largest US bank, reported second-quarter results (for the period ended June 30) on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, posting a record net income of about $21.1 billion, up nearly 41% from a year earlier and the highest quarterly profit in the bank's history.
Net revenue rose 28% to $57.3 billion, beating analyst expectations. Equities trading revenue surged 86% to about $6 billion, and the sale of part of the bank's stake in Visa added roughly $4.6 billion. The CEO said performance was strong across the firm and that revenue in each line of business hit a new record.
JPMorgan opens Wall Street's big-bank earnings season, with Citigroup, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs also due to report on Tuesday. Coming alongside the June US inflation data, the results serve as a gauge of the health of the American economy and consumer.
