Mellal Credit Institution Cuts Its FY1404 Net Loss by 52 Percent

Mellal Credit Institution (وملل) filed a clarification letter with Codal on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (10 Shahrivar 1405), explaining a drop in its net loss for the fiscal year ended March 20, 2026. Net loss fell 52 percent, from 3,055.08 billion tomans in fiscal 1403 to 1,475.05 billion tomans in fiscal 1404. Most of the improvement came from 5,157 billion tomans of loan income tied to restructuring related-party assets, a 9,358.5 billion toman reversal of doubtful-receivable provisions, and not repeating the prior year's 12,392.4 billion toman provision. The institution also disclosed a 4,423.6 billion toman Central Bank overdraft penalty, settled down to 2,320 billion tomans by year end.
