According to Boursenews, citing the Association of Iranian Investment Funds based on Fipiran data, assets under management at the country's investment funds rose 79 percent nominally, from 1,601 trillion tomans in July 2025 (Tir 1404) to 2,864 trillion tomans in June 2026 (Khordad 1405), adding 6.8 percent (about 184 trillion tomans) in Khordad alone. As of end-Khordad, 509 active funds held 2,863.6 trillion tomans across 145 financial institutions: 52.2 percent in fixed-income funds, 20.5 percent commodity funds and 11.7 percent equity funds. Portfolio management firms held the largest market share at 49.9 percent of assets. The association cautioned that real growth over the period was only about 0.9 percent, meaning most of the nominal 79 percent reflects inflation.
