Mobarakeh Steel Delivers First 1405 Hot Rolled Coil Shipment to Pipe Makers as Water Transfer Megaprojects Resume
9 August 2026 · 2 months ago
According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, Mobarakeh Steel Company delivered its first hot rolled coil shipment of 1405 to pipe manufacturing plants for use in national water transfer projects. Steel supply for these projects had been halted in previous years due to financing problems, but with funding secured and the projects resumed this year, deliveries have started again. Estimates put more than 500,000 tons of Mobarakeh Steel output allocated in 1405 to water, oil and gas transfer projects, a volume that both creates a new market for the company and helps meet part of the country's infrastructure project needs from domestic production.
