17 August 2026 · 2 months ago
According to Ecoiran, Tehran's stock market has been moving mostly under the shadow of smaller cap stocks these days, with sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and even automakers outperforming, visible in the equal weighted index's stronger run compared with the main index. Meanwhile, the end of the 60 day window under the Iran US memorandum, which arrives today, Monday, 26 Mordad 1405 (August 17, 2026), without an extension, has added a new variable to market calculations and made caution a guiding principle for traders over the medium term.
In global markets, copper remains the leading base metal, with the price near 6.70 dollars a pound, once again drawing traders' attention to the metal.
