Petrol Group and Ilam Province Sign Petrochemical Value-Chain Development Agreement
20 October 2026 | 15 hours ago
Iranian Petrochemical Investment and Development Group, known as Petrol, and the Ilam provincial administration signed a cooperation memorandum to develop investment and complete the local petrochemical industry's value chain. Boursenews reported the signing at Petrol's offices on Tuesday 20 October 2026 (28 Mehr 1405).
The published account does not announce a binding investment contract, a project value or a commissioning date. For now it is a framework for exploring and developing projects, not an achieved increase in company output or revenue. Downstream development could keep more upstream petrochemical feedstock in the province, but any real effect depends on projects being implemented.
