Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said a projectile struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Sunday, 19 Mehr 1405 (11 October 2026), killing one person and injuring 11. The dead person was a Pakistani resident. A witness cited by Reuters said the projectile hit the tarmac at about 20:30 local time next to several parked planes and started a fire; terminals 3 and 4, which serve domestic flights, were hit.

The strike came a day after the Saturday, 18 Mehr (10 October) attack that the Saudi-led coalition said killed 12 and wounded more than 300. India's embassy said one of its citizens died of injuries from Saturday's attack, raising the toll to 13. The airport has been struck four times in the past five days and has been closed since Saturday. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the earlier strikes.

Donald Trump says he is weighing whether to join Saudi Arabia against the Houthis; the concern is that US involvement could push the Houthis to halt shipping through Bab al-Mandeb, the alternative route to the Strait of Hormuz for Persian Gulf oil. Trading Economics also listed the attacks on Riyadh airport among the pressures on the oil market on Monday, 20 Mehr.
