Saudi Aramco reported on Tuesday, 4 August 2026 (13 Mordad 1405) that its adjusted net income for the second calendar quarter (April to June 2026) reached 125.2 billion Saudi riyals, or $33.4 billion, up 33% year on year and ahead of the $31.59 billion analysts had expected. Cash flow from operating activities came in at $25.4 billion for the quarter, and the company's gearing ratio stood at 6.2% at the end of June, compared with 4.8% at the end of the first quarter. The board approved a second quarter base dividend of $21.9 billion to be paid over the next three months.
Aramco attributed the sharp rise in second quarter revenue mainly to higher prices for crude oil and for refined and chemical products, adding that lower sales volumes partly offset that effect. Chief Executive Amin H. Nasser said in a statement that despite the unprecedented disruption to shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, the company had sustained production and exports by leaning on its 1,200 kilometre East-West pipeline to the Red Sea, its storage capacity and its export terminals. By bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, that pipeline has kept exports running at a maximum capacity of 7 million barrels per day.
The results came as global oil majors reported large profits on the back of higher fossil fuel prices during the hostilities between the United States and Iran.
