Tehran Stock Exchange Index Rises 1.69 Percent to a Record 5.654 Million Points as Retail Money Returns to Refiners and Metals

10 August 2026 | 2 months ago

Tehran's TEDPIX benchmark closed Monday, 19 Mordad 1405 (August 10, 2026), up 1.69 percent (94,214 points) at a record 5,654,178 points, according to data recorded on Sahmino. The equal-weight index rose 0.85 percent. Ecoiran reported the same day that the refined-products group led the market with a 3.44 percent sector gain, with Shabandar (Bandar Abbas Refinery) opening up 10 percent as a key driver, while Fooladmobarakeh (Foolad), Shabandar and Vaposar contributed most to the index's rise. The rally followed news that the parliament's energy committee chair wrote to the government seeking to extend the refinery feedstock pricing formula through the end of the Iranian year 1405. Ecoiran said retail investors injected about 2 trillion tomans into the market Monday, reversing Sunday's 6 trillion toman outflow, with the heaviest inflows into Vatejarat, Foolad and Vamaadan; Sahmino's own trading-flow data confirms the same positive direction for Monday against Sunday's negative flow. Retail trading value eased from the prior day's record to about 37 trillion tomans, while the market's dollar-based value rose to about 98.8 billion dollars.
