Tehran Stock Exchange Index Rises Above 8,000,000 Points for the First Time

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) crossed 8,000,000 points for the first time during trading on Wednesday, 15 Mehr 1405 (October 7, 2026). According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, by 11:12 Tehran time the index was up 1.61 percent, or 128,000 points, reaching 8,105,000 points, while the equal weight index had climbed 1.5 percent, or 32,000 points, to 2,045,000 points; both gauges were at record highs. Per Sahmino's own data, by 11:30 the same day TEDPIX had risen 1.76 percent to 8,117,582 points and the equal weight index 1.62 percent to 2,148,127 points. Tehran Stock Exchange's trade value over this period exceeded 256,000 billion rials.
