Tehran Stock Index Retreats While Farabourse Index Moves Higher

At 16:00 Tehran time on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Sahmino's recorded Tehran Stock Exchange index reading was near 8,015,547 points, about 29,109 points below Saturday's reading. Over the same window, the Farabourse main index registered near 67,116, about 85 points above the prior day. Mehr News Agency and Donya-e-Eqtesad also reported Sunday's decline in the Tehran gauge.

These are indices for two separate exchanges and should not be combined. Refining-sector shares reopened during the session, but the indices' different directions show that Tehran's decline cannot simply be applied to all of Farabourse.
