The value of e-commerce purchase transactions in Iran rose 68% year on year in spring 1405, with 29,000 e-trust marks issued

The head of Iran's E-Commerce Development Centre said on Monday, 27 July 2026 (5 Mordad 1405), that in this spring the number of purchase-side transactions rose 31 percent and their value rose 68 percent compared with the same period last year. According to the same report, carried by Mehr News Agency, about 29,000 electronic trust marks (Enamad) were issued in spring 1405.
The gap between 31 percent growth in transaction numbers and 68 percent growth in their rial value mainly reflects inflation and higher prices for goods and services over the period, rather than a doubling of real purchase volume. Separating the two matters for reading Iran's e-commerce statistics correctly.
The electronic trust mark is a licence issued by the E-Commerce Development Centre of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade to online businesses, and is a condition for operating formally and connecting to payment gateways. The number of marks issued is therefore one gauge of growth in Iran's formal online business sector.
