Trump: We May Soon Target Iran's Kolang Gazaleh Mountain Facility
5 September 2026 | 2 months ago
US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Friday, September 4, 2026 (13 Shahrivar 1405), according to Khabaronline citing IRNA, that the United States may soon target a nuclear facility in Iran he called the "Kolang Gazaleh" mountain, adding that US forces had disabled radar in the area for a second time. He described the roughly six month old conflict with Iran, which he had earlier said would end within four to seven weeks, as a "military engagement" rather than a war.
Trump also claimed the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz, that many ships have passed through it and that no naval mines remain there, even though Iran has held control of the strait since the war began. He said pipelines and alternative routes, including through Syria, are being built to reduce reliance on the strait, and said he had earlier told China's president not to get involved in the conflict with Iran.
