UBS: Gold Could Reach $5,000 an Ounce by First Half of 2027
11 August 2026 · 2 months ago
According to Ecoiran, Swiss bank UBS said in its latest estimate, published by Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), that the global gold price could reach $5,000 an ounce in the first half of 2027. Sahmino's own price data showed global spot gold at $4,394.64 an ounce as of 3:48pm local time that day. UBS has repeatedly raised its gold price estimates in recent months, though not all of its forecasts have materialized. Iran's 18 karat gold price depends on both the global ounce price and the toman exchange rate; if the global price rises from its current level to $5,000 while the dollar rate holds steady, the base value of domestic gold could rise about 16 percent, though a simultaneous rise or fall in the dollar rate could amplify or offset that effect.
