Yaghoub Andayesh, the welfare deputy at the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, said on Saturday, October 10, 2026 (18 Mehr 1405) that the kalabarg (food coupon) accounts of about 11 million people covered by the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (Komiteh Emdad) and the State Welfare Organisation were credited with another 500,000 tomans today. According to him, these groups' accounts had earlier been credited with 1,000,000 tomans on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 (15 Mehr 1405). Mehr News Agency reported the remarks, and Donya-e-Eqtesad likewise quoted the same official on the 500,000-toman increase for about 11 million people.
Andayesh said those covered by the credit-increase scheme have three months to fill in a self-declaration form on the national "Dowlat-e Man" portal to keep receiving the increase. If a small number of clients of the two bodies were not credited, they have one week to request an eligibility review on the same portal, and their credit will be added after an electronic and field check if they qualify. He added that the government will decide on raising kalabarg for other vulnerable groups in later stages if funds are secured and allocated. EcoIran also reported today, quoting the head of the Plan and Budget Organization, that the final Mehr kalabarg amount is not yet fixed and will be around 500,000 tomans.
