The same day the free-market dollar fell 1.72 percent to 186,500 tomans and 18-karat gold dropped 2.1 percent to 17,878,900 tomans, while spot gold stood 0.89 percent higher at $4,088 this Monday morning. The gold-bar auction margin deadline falls today.

The Tehran Stock Exchange's TEDPIX index opened Sunday, 4 Mordad 1405 (26 July 2026) with an 80,560 unit jump already recorded in its first print at 09:05, and stood at 4,977,231 by 11:05, up 1.69 percent from Saturday's close and less than 23,000 units below the 5 million mark. Here is the point: only 2,218 units were added across two hours of continuous trading, meaning roughly 97 percent of today's gain was priced before the first trade. The equal weighted index rose 2.08 percent.

On Saturday 3 Mordad 1405 (25 July 2026) 18-karat gold fell 3.29% and the free-market dollar 1.8%, but the number that turned first was Tether: about 186,800 toman, some 2,900 toman below the banknote dollar, the widest negative gap in at least three weeks. The bourse posted a third straight gain, closing at 4,894,453 points.
